In the fall of 2023, Rituals in the Making began planning an initiative to collect and preserve the accounts of frontline healthcare professionals during COVID-19. Given the recent efforts to forget and rewrite the historical narrative of the pandemic, we are especially interested in and passionate about preserving these stories.

The interviews last approximately 45–60 minutes and explore topics related to caring for COVID patients and communicating with families, how the pandemic affected healthcare workers on a personal and professional basis, challenges, memories, and moments of collaboration and care. Interviews can be anonymous, and do not require participants to reveal the identity of their workplace or colleagues.
